Product Photography Prices Vienna: So You Know What to Expect
You have a product that needs to sell online. Now you need photos. And the first question is always: what does product photography cost in Vienna?
I'm Alexandru, product photographer in Vienna since 2012. In that time I've photographed thousands of products — from fitness trackers to designer glasses, from fashion collections to medical devices. Here are my real product photography prices. No fine print.

What Does Product Photography Cost in Vienna 2026?
I work with packages rather than per-item prices. The reason is simple: in product photography most of the work is not the shutter click but the lighting setup, the cut-out, dust and reflection retouching, and colour matching across variants. A per-item price hides all of that — and ends in arguments. Packages are more honest and easier for you to budget.
Minimum order value: €990.Launch — from €1,590
For a market launch or your first SKUs.Catalogue — from €2,890
For established shops with a larger range. On Location — from €1,290
Your product where it is actually used.Cut-outs inform. Shots in a real setting sell. A fitness tracker on a white background shows what it is. The same tracker on a wrist during a workout shows why you need it.

Larger catalogues: sliding scale per image
| Volume | Price per image | |---|---| | up to 29 images | €55 | | from 30 images | €45 | | from 60 images | €39 | | from 100 images | €35 |
Every package includes: retouching, colour matching, web, print and marketplace versions, and full usage rights. Pickup and return within Vienna are included.
What Do Other Product Photographers in Vienna Charge?
Transparency matters to me. Here's the market comparison:
| Price range | What to expect | |---|---| | Under €30/image | Beginners, often without controlled lighting. Quality and consistency vary widely | | €35–60/image | Experienced product photographer. Consistent quality, Amazon-compliant, colour matched | | €80–150/image | Premium studios with a team. For luxury brands and ad campaigns | | €150+/image | Advertising agencies. Including styling, art direction, models and production |
I sit in the middle segment — with one decisive difference: you work directly with the photographer who also does the retouching. No project manager in between, no friction when something needs adjusting.
Amazon Product Photography: What You Need to Know
Amazon has strict image guidelines. If your photos don't meet the requirements, your listing won't go live. It's that simple.
Amazon image requirements:I deliver your images in the right formats straight away. JPEG for Amazon, WebP for Shopify, PNG for everything else. No reworking needed.

Shopify, WooCommerce & Your Own Webshop
Your own shop plays by different rules than Amazon. Here you have creative freedom:
What I commonly do for Shopify clients:
That is exactly the scope of the Launch package, from €1,590 for up to 8 products.
What Influences the Price?
Not every product costs the same to photograph. Here's why:
Size and Complexity A white t-shirt takes 10 minutes. A wristwatch with a reflective surface needs 45 minutes of perfect lighting. Jewellery, electronics and transparent products (glass, liquids) require more work.Number of Angles One image per product is affordable. Six perspectives plus a detail shot costs more — but your return rate drops dramatically.Post-Production Cutout on white: standard retouching. Lifestyle with elaborate compositing: more work. Removing reflections on jewellery: considerably more work.Colour variants A product in seven colours is not the same photo seven times. The biggest source of error is drift between variants — which is why I work with a colour chart and a calibrated workflow, so your red is the same red in every image.
What's Always Included?
With every product photography booking:
Three Mistakes That Make Product Photography Expensive
Mistake 1: Too few images per product Amazon allows 9 images. Use them all. Products with 7+ images demonstrably convert 30–40% better than those with 2–3. Don't cut corners in the wrong place.Mistake 2: Only cutouts, no lifestyle photos Cutouts explain what the product is. Lifestyle photos show why someone needs it. You need both.Mistake 3: iPhone photos for the online shop Yes, modern smartphones take good photos. But not for e-commerce. Controlled lighting, consistent colours, clean background — that's the difference between “looks OK” and “I'm buying this.”
Is Professional Product Photography Worth It?
Let's do the maths: you sell a product for €49.90. Professional photos cost you €80 (cutout + lifestyle). Better images raise your conversion rate from 2% to 3%. With 1,000 visitors per month, that's 10 extra sales — €499 in additional revenue. In the first month.
The photos pay for themselves in a few days. And then work for you for years.
My Honest Advice
A complete e-commerce setup starts at €1,590 for up to 8 products. That sounds like a lot — until you weigh it against the return: better images lift conversion and cut returns, on every single sale that follows. Cheap photos that don't work are the more expensive route.
Your customers can't see your product. They see your photo. And that photo decides whether they buy or click away.
