Image Licence – Photography Vienna
How the photographs on this site may be used, what clients in Vienna receive with a commission, and how to license an individual image.
Author and rights holder
Every photograph published on fotoinwien.at was taken by Alexandru Bogdan. The rights holder is WELO MEDIA STUDIOS S.R.L., operator of the "Foto in Wien" brand.
The images are protected by copyright under Austrian law (§ 1 ff UrhG). Protection applies whether or not an image carries a watermark or copyright notice.
Not permitted without a licence
- Downloading, reproducing or redistributing the images
- Publishing on websites, social media, print or advertising
- Editing, cropping, filtering or removing image credits
- Use for training AI models or in generative systems
- Resale or sub-licensing to third parties
Usage rights for clients
On payment of the commission, clients receive a non-exclusive right of use for the delivered images, unlimited in time and territory, for the agreed purposes — typically website, social media and corporate communication.
This does not cover transfer to third parties, resale, or assignment of copyright itself. Extended rights, for example for out-of-home advertising or campaigns, can be agreed separately at any time. The full terms are set out in the terms and conditions.

Infringements
Unlicensed use is pursued consistently. If you have found an image being used without a licence, or have used one yourself by mistake, please get in touch at info@fotoinwien.at. Licensing after the fact is usually straightforward.
